Jeremey Goldstein Raises Money for Fountain House

Attorney Jeremey Goldstein is a partner at Jeremey L. Goldstein and Associates. He earned his law degree from New York University of Law, an M.A. Degree at University of Chicago, and a B.A. from Cornell University. His practice focuses on advising CEOs, management teams, and compensation committees on matters of compensation and corporate governance. He is also a key player is large business mergers.

Jeremey Goldstein is on the Board of Directors at Fountain House, a self-help organization for people suffering from mental illness. Jeremey Gold, along with Jim Finkel and Omar Khan, hosted two private wine dinners and raised over $56,000 for Fountain House. The first dinner costed $3,700 a ticket, and all the proceeds went to Fountain House.

Fountain House has many ways they help people. One is through their employment program. It is estimated that 85% of people living in the United States with mental illness are unemployed. At Fountain House over 42% of their members are employed, working at over 40 companies in New York City. It is also estimated that only 32% of those with mental illness have finished school, while 77% of members supported by Fountain House have completed school. Fountain House helps over 500 members a year find housing.

All members of Fountain House work in the community. They perform duties in communication, culinary, horticulture, education, membership, and reception. They operate High Point Farm in Montague, New Jersey, where members can learn to grow vegetables, flowers, and produce. Fountain House helps people re-gain confidence, make new friends, and acquire new skills.
